Overview
See My Eyes is designed with your privacy in mind. It is an educational app that uses your device's camera to simulate how different vision conditions — such as tunnel vision, central blur, distortion, contrast loss, and color differences — can change the way the world looks, in real time. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Information We Collect
Information You Don't Provide
See My Eyes does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app:
- Does not require you to create an account
- Does not collect your name, email, or contact information
- Does not track your location
- Does not collect device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Does not send your camera feed, photos, or videos off your device
Settings and Preferences
Any simulation options and custom presets you configure are stored on your device so the app can remember your preferences. See My Eyes does not use analytics and does not build a profile of how you use the app.
Camera, Photos, and Media
See My Eyes uses your device's camera to show simulated vision effects in real time. Camera frames are processed entirely on your device and are never saved, uploaded, or shared by the app.
See My Eyes Pro adds side-by-side comparison, video recording, photo import and capture, and watermark-free exports. This media is processed on your device, and anything you choose to save is stored only where you direct it (for example, your device's photo library). We do not receive, upload, or have access to your recordings, photos, or exports.
Purchases
See My Eyes offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock Pro features. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or receive your payment information. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Third-Party Services
See My Eyes does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Aside from Apple processing optional in-app purchases through the App Store, the app runs independently on your device.
Data Security
Your camera feed and simulations are processed on your device and are not transmitted to us. Any media you save stays on your device unless you choose to share it. Your information is protected by Apple's built-in security features and your device's passcode or biometric authentication.
Children's Privacy
See My Eyes does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for all ages as it does not collect or transmit any personal data.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will also notify users through the App Store update notes if there are significant changes to our privacy practices.
